BONGO HR provides support in four main areas:
Disaster Preparedness and Response

We provide specialist HR support to a diverse range of organisations across the world to ensure they are prepared to respond when disaster strikes. From large scale reviews of current HR, people management and leadership capabilities, to specific interventions designed to address a particular issue, we can help you.

After a disaster, Bongo HR provides support at every stage – relief, recovery, and transition / exit – to ensure organisations we work with have the right people, supported by the right systems and structures, to make the right impact.

Time is valuable during a disaster so we also provide a tried and tested toolkit or ‘Office in a box’ containing everything needed to manage the people-related / human resource aspects of a response.

Consultancy Services

We provide external support to help organisations manage change and deliver high quality, more efficient programs with a focus on generating a greater impact through their people.

We provide services at both the strategic level (for example, undertaking a global capacity assessment), and at an operational level (for example, providing technical expertise to support a re-structure, or review HR policies).

We listen, understand, and build a productive, professional, respectful and mutually valuable relationship with those we work.

Training

Bongo HR strengthens people management, HR, organisational development, and leadership capabilities by providing training and 1-2-1 support:

Disaster Simulation Training
We work in partnership with expert and experienced providers to design and deliver simulation training with a focus on strengthening the people management, leadership and HR capabilities of organisations to prepare for and respond to disasters.

Technical Training
We develop online and workshop-based technical training packages related to people management and HR aspects of humanitarian and international development work. These reflect identified learning needs and current trends, such as the Agenda for Humanity.

Be-spoke Training
We work with organisations to design and deliver be-spoke training to reflect their particular needs.

1-2-1 Support

We provide 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring support to HR staff working in humanitarian and international development. This is often used to support staff who are newly appointed in their positions, particularly in cases where they may lack sector knowledge / experience or have been recently promoted to a more senior level.

Many of our Associates are trained and accredited coaches and work closely with clients to ensure the coaching approach and tools used are tailored for their individual needs.
